Regulation needs to change to take advantage of new technology. I put together a document to describe my views and also made an explainer video on Linkedin. In super short summary: 1) use the technology to regulate the technology companies; 2) focus on outcomes (accidents, overcrowding) and not inputs (number of vehicles); and 3) require open sourcing of regulatory code by companies.
